Josiah Ford 1852 & Elizabeth Harnett 1862

I think this is correct but awaiting documentation

Father of grandma Gladys. Josiah was born Foleshill, Warwickshire in 1852. Parents listed as Johnathon Ford (Labourer) and mother Mary Ford (nee Harding).

He married Elizabeth Drewry in Foleshill on June 8th 1872 and was widowed by 1881 (census data)*.

He re-married in 1891 to Elizabeth Harnett on 28th October at the Parish Church of St Jame's, Wednesbury in the County of Staffordshire. He is listed as a WIDOWER on this marriage certificate

In the 1901 census he is an Iron Moulder, still married, living with children at 55 Napier Street, civil parish of Leicester:
  1. Amy Rose Ford (b c1875)
  2. Edith L Ford (b c1894)
  3. Gladys May Ford (GRANDMA) (b 1895)
  4. Maud H Ford (b c1889)
No record of his wife Elizabeth on this census, but we find Elizabeth on another 1901 census, married aged 39, married, at The General Infirmary in the civil parish of Leicester. I am not sure if Elizabeth was a patient or staff as she is listed as both! The census lists all those persns who " slept or abode in this institution on the night of Sunday march 31st 1901"

*In the 1881 census he is living at Darlington Street, Wednesbury, listed as a moulder, living with children Amy Rose and John James (b c1877).

In the 1871 census he is living with parents Johnathon and Amelia Ford (step-mother?) and brother Amos and sister Amelia in Foleshill.

In 1861 census he is living in Longford, Foleshill, with his father and step mother Amelia and siblings, he is 9 years old and working as a loom turner. I beleive his mother Mary died before 1861.
